10 Deserts Solo Cycle Epic

11 July pt 2
All roads may lead to Rome, but all winds are destined for Lake Eyre! Another hard slog against strong winds. The cross winds have followed me all around the lake. The wind drifts everywhere today.

11 July
Back on the bike today. My cold is much better but the very strong winds again today not helping the cause. It's be a nice ride without this wind. Such contrasting water and dunes so close together.

I am preparing for the worst into more gale force headwinds. All the way across walkers creek and Sturt Stony Desert. Looking forward to a steak and beer at the Birdsville Pub.

Today was a much better day that most of the last week. Ferocious winds have finally dropped. No dune to cross in the Strzelecki Track. It's been the best dirt road I've ridden on. Grazing land and North East of Lyndhurst is completely barren bar the irregular creek crossing. I had to ride on for 15km one night to find a tree to camp under. I have a bad cough due to the wind so I'm taking it easy.
